Diaper Bag Essentials

With a six month in tow, I have recently become an expert on how to fill up a Diaper Bag. Here is what I recommend.

List of Diaper Bag Essentials:

• Diapers and wipes (I like to use the Diapees and Wipees to stay organized or for short trips where you dont need the entire diaper bag)
• Diaper Creme to keep that tushy dry
• Changing Pad which comes in many diaper bags
• Change of clothes for that occasional or not so occasional spit up
• Burp Cloth
• Light Weight Blanket
• Plastic Bags for dirty clothes or dirty diapers
• Toys or Books
• Bottle and Formula (the plastic containers with dividers are most helpful)
• Nursing Cover if you are nursing and want some privacy
• Bib
• Hat
• Camera for those great shots while you are out
• Sunscreen if child is old enough
• Snack for either mother or child

I chose and love my Storksak Emily Diaper Bag which is both stylish and functional. Storksak diaper bags, made famous by celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are worth the hype. I love the side pockets for bottles because they are easily accessible and the matching pouch for my own essentials. This looks like a bag I would carry even if it wasn't a diaper bag because I love the look of it and the organization of it.
